about

During the Covid lock-down our local Strathearn Arts venue in the town of Crieff was closed and much missed. I approached nine musicians who had a connection to the venue and town to create a piece of music to be the theme for the venue, to represent its place in the town and surroundings. None of us met in person: it was all done remotely under lock-down.
The first half of the piece is a traditional piece called Crieff Fair. The second half is a song that was already composed by Robbie Hutton and awaiting a home. We brought it all together in appreciation of Crieff and the Strathearn Artspace.
There is a four minute instrumental version of Kiss and a Rose available.
