    The first release of traditional Tales and harp by Highland Storyteller, Scot AnSgeulaiche. This collection contains music, song, Tale and features guest vocalists Rena Gertz and Margaret Bennett. The Highland and Scottish west coast tradition blends with electro-acoustic and ambient studio techniques. Many of the recordings having been made live in the now rare Highland Cèilidh. This limited edition, hand-numbered CD (200) comes with a 6 page booklet uncovering the songs and Tales.

Rena says of this tàladh (lullaby), “I was taught this song by Margaret Stewart, who had found it in the archives during her work for Tobar an Dualchais. She thinks that it is the older, more original version of a popular lullaby called Bidh Clann Ulaidh. I much prefer the older version.” There are three renditions sung by Rena on this recording. The first she sings at a cèilidh, unaccompanied. The second was recorded immediately afterwards, repeated at Margaret Bennett's request with the listeners supplying a bagpipe-like drone (the inspiration for the final piece). I asked Rena to record a studio version so that I could blend the three.
